The Goldendoodle

Best of both worlds...

The goldendoodle is a cross between a golden retriever and poodle and they tend to exhibit the best traits from both breeds. Goldendoodles are friendly, cuddly and eager-to-please.

Our goal...

Our goal with the goldendoodle is to breed a dog that sheds less than a golden retriever, but by crossing it with a poodle, the offspring will exhibit the less bouncy traits of a poodle. Both the golden retriever and poodle are commonly known for being service dogs and the goal for our goldendoodles is to have offspring that has the temperament to be able to be a service, emotional support or therapy dog. However, if families are hoping for more of an adventure or companion dog, our goldendoodles will the adaptable and can serve many purposes in your family.

Appearance...

The fun thing about goldendoodles is it will always be a surprise when it comes to each litter that is born. While a golden retriever has only a few coat colours to select from, poodles some in many beautiful coat colours ranging from brindle, merle, parti, phantom, tri, etc. This means our goldendoodles will have many coat colours available and no two will look alike. Goldendoodles can have a coat that is somewhere between straight and curly and will not have their final coat type or colour until they are older. Goldendoodles will need daily brushing and combing depending on their final coat type and will need grooming every six to eight weeks.

Personality...

Goldendoodles are typically intelligent, obedient and extremely loving dogs. Goldendoodles love people and also get along great with other pets making them the perfect dog for all of your adventures. They tend to be patient and gentle with young children — making them a fantastic choice for families. They are far too friendly to make good guard dogs or watchdogs and would more likely try to befriend a stranger than warn them off. Goldendoodles will need daily exercise and love to play with other dogs, so they would benefit from having a furry sibling in the home or a dog friend they can meet up with to romp around.

The Cockapoo

Best of both worlds...

Cockapoos are a cross between an American cocker spaniel and a poodle and they tend to exhibit the best traits from both breeds. Cockapoos are sweet, cuddly and easy to train.

Our goal...

Our goal with the cockapoo is to breed a dog that is more calm than a bouncy poodle and lacks the strong fishy odor that comes from the American cocker spaniel. Our cockapoos will be the perfect companion dog and our goal is for the offspring to have a temperament that is calm, low energy and intelligent. However, if families are hoping for more of an adventure dog, our cockapoos will be adaptable and can serve many purposes in your family.
